Although it is widely accepted that our young French defender Kurt Zouma is set to go out on a season-long loan, which club he will be joining remains to be seen.

One club who had been linked with acquiring the services of Zouma were our fellow Premier League club, West Bromwich Albion.

However, it appears that possibility has now been ruled out.

Appearing in the sports pages of the UK`s leading tabloid publication The Sun, this morning, is the inference that Tony Pulis has settled on a different option.

Pulis has signed, on a season long loan deal, the Egyptian centre-back, Ahmed Hegazy from Al Ahly.

It seems that West Bromwich Albion were reluctant to pay Chelsea a loan fee of £7 million for Zouma when they could pick up Hegazy for a mere £750,000.

Which, if we`ve read the situation correctly, leaves Stoke City as the most probable destination for Kurt.

As always, we`ll keep a watchful eye out for any further snippets of information.
