Back in the last decade when Jose Mourinho first arrived at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea had a fresh-faced young goalkeeper in the squad.

His name was Lenny Pidgeley.

When that first season with Jose Mourinho in charge ended with the club winning their first top-flight title since 1955, young Lenny was amongst those celebrating wildly as the magnificent trophy was lifted high into the air by the club captain, John Terry.

But the Chelsea career of Lenny Pidgeley wasn`t to be an extensive won.

The youngster failed to make his presence felt in the first team squad and in 2006 he left the club.

Since leaving Chelsea Football Club, Pidgeley, now 33-years-of-age, has played for a variety of clubs which include:

? Millwall
? Woking (loan)
? Carlisle United
? Woking
? Bradford City
? Exeter City
? Newport County
? Mansfield Town (loan)
? Leatherhead
? Forest Green Rovers

and

? Hastings

At this moment in time, Lenny is currently on the books of Margate who are a club in the Isthmian Premier League.

That day in May when Lenny joined in the celebrations, must seem a long time ago.
