Did you really expect anything else?

The news that the authorities are hardly bending over backwards to assist us in our quest to win the FIFA World Club Cup, in Japan, is hardly surprising.

It appears that Chelsea`s request to postpone the forthcoming clash with Sunderland, on December 8th, has met with a stony silence and an on-your-bikes response from those who run our beloved game.

Speaking about the hindrance Roberto Di Matteo has remarked to the media,

“I cannot get my head around it.”

“We tried to postpone the Sunderland game to give us the best chance in Japan but the Premier League didn`t agree to it.”

“You would think they would have an interest to give us the best chance of success in Japan which would reflect very well on English football and the Premier League.”

“You see other federations trying to help their teams.”

Exactly!

But the old cronies who run football in our country still have their heads stuck up their backsides, do they not?
