Back in the days when the summer transfer window was open, there was a piece of transfer speculation that linked the then Paris Saint-Germain defender, Serge Aurier, could be headed to Stamford Bridge.
As it turned out Aurier joined Tottenham Hotspur, on transfer deadline day, for £23 million.
However, his move hasn`t gotten the full approval of one of his best friends and a Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba.
The good folk of the The Express are reporting that when asked by Sky Sports about the move, Didier remarked,
“I just spoke to him a few hours ago.
“He`s so happy to be in England and of course we`re going to help him.
“He`s my younger brother so I`m going to give him some tips.
“He plays for the wrong team!
“But I`m happy for him, very happy for his move.”
Any chance of 24-year-old Aurier becoming a Chelsea player have now passed, even more so with Chelsea signing Davide Zappacosta from Torino instead, but it`s good to see Didier championing or fine club still.
