Zappacosta, Shot or Cross?

Last night, against FK Qarabag, Davide Zappacosta was given his first start for Chelsea Football Club.

The deadline day buy, proved that he has the potential to become a regular member of the starting eleven.

We were even treated to a goal that will live long in the memory, a goal whereby Zappacosta collected the ball via a long throw from Thibaut Courtois, set on a high-speed burst forward, cut inside and then unleashed a shot from adjacent to the touch-line that fairly fizzed into the back of the net.

For many, it was probably the greatest first goal they`d ever seen somebody score for the team we wall worship.

And then someone come along and ruined it!

The news vehicle the metro carries the suggestion from Antonio Conte that it wasn`t a shot but that Zappacosta meant it to be a cross.

It feels a bit like when you first find out that Santa Claus doesn`t really exist!
