Amongst the plethora of Chelsea players currently out on loan, is Kurt Zouma.

The 22-year-old French defender is currently on a season-long loan spell at Stoke City.

It appears that Mark Hughes, the Stoke City manager, is more than pleased with the player Stoke had to pay a fee of £7 million for to secure his services for the season.

Hughes, talking to The Mirror, had this to say about the central defender,

“Kurt Zouma is a £30-40m centre-half. We can`t afford that, but in the loan market we can get him here so that`s a good thing.

“We have to do that because we`re not going to go into the market for a £60 million player.”

It`s great to see that Kurt is creating such a favourable impression at the BET365 Stadium.

After recovering from the bad knee injury, he sustained in a fixture against Manchester United, an injury that side-lined him for almost a year, the aim of the loan spell was to ensure Kurt gets regular first-team football and pick up the kind of experience he might not have got at Stamford Bridge this season.
