Chelsea Have Identified The Keeper They Want To Replace The Beleaguered Kepa

Three goals conceded, in what was a poor team display, away to Sheffield United, has, once again, seen questions asked about the future of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Now whether the criticism is 100% deserved is debatable especially when you consider how poor the Chelsea defence was.

But that could be immaterial with, this morning, The Express championing the suggestion that Chelsea, aided by Petr Cech, have found a replacement.

The keeper in question is Ugurcan Cakir, a 24-year-old who has made quite an impression, this season, playing in the Turkish Super Lig for Trabzonspor.

Our quoted source implies that Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United and Newcastle United have watched the keeper this season but that it is Chelsea, with a £29.5 million bid, who are set to secure his services.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll wait for official confirmation that a deal has been done, but if it has then now must be the time to look at the remainder of the defence and bring in reinforcements where necessary.
