The fixtures really are coming thick and fast.
After three consecutive home fixtures, against Crystal Palace (PL), Southampton (PL) and Sevilla (CL), Chelsea now take to the road for three consecutive away fixtures – Manchester United (PL), FK Krasnodar (CL) and Burnley (PL).
The first of these is this Saturday, with the kick-off being at 17:30, as we attempt to get some kind of revenge for the thrashing Manchester United handed out in the reciprocating fixture last season, in a game that was Frank Lampard’s first as the Chelsea boss in the Premier League.
Chelsea enter the fixture on the back of two consecutive draws, 3-3 against Southampton and a far more solid defensive display against Sevilla where the game ended 0-0.
The Sevilla game saw the return of Eduardo Mendy and Thiago Silva to the defence, will the duo retain their places against Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s team?
