With the January transfer window almost upon us and with Chelsea, unlike the summer window, able to add to their squad this time around, the column inches linking Chelsea with a move for Wilfried Zaha continues to grow.
Today, it is the turn of The Mirror to champion the suggestion by claiming Frank Lampard will orchestrate a move for the 27-year-old come the opening of the aforementioned Crystal Palace winger.
However, is it a possible move that would get the approval of the Stamford Bridge support?
Apparently not!
A recent poll, run by Vital Chelsea, asked whether you’d approve the club signing Zaha.
The results show that only 30% welcomed such a move with 61% against such a move and 9% sat on the proverbial fence.
Any successful pursuit of Zaha would see an enormous amount of cash being moved across London.
I fear that Zaha, just like he did when he moved to Old Trafford earlier in his career, would fail to make an impact at a big club.
Or could, a more mature Zaha, be ready for just such a move?
