Sometimes it takes the words of a legend to put things into perspective.

Our very own hero, Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris has today divulged his feelings on the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari, suggesting that the Brazilian alienated supporters.

Speaking to Setanta Sports, the chopper said, ‘The directors have decided to do something about it, and nothing surprises about the way managers come and go at the moment.

‘I know what upset a lot of the Chelsea supporters that turned against him was the comment he made along the lines of ‘if they give me the sack they can pay me up`, as though he wasn`t really worried. I don`t think that went down too well with the supporters.

‘I think if it was a choice with the supporters, 90 percent of them would like to get Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke.’

So what is your opinion, did Scolari alienate us or is it not in a managers job description to keep supporters happy?
