A Mini-Revolution!

You`d expect those sleepy Suffolk folk of Ipswich to be last bunch of people to show a rebellious streak, but that theory is about to be tested.

Over the past couple of decades, football has changed immensely. The Taylor Report did much to change the face of the game and whilst some are actively campaigning for the return of a Safe Standing area, those good folk down at Portman Road have their eyes on reversing a trend that affects many.

Apparently, Ipswich Town are championing a campaign whereby football fans will be allowed to drink alcohol in their seats. Such a luxury was banned some 30 years ago and many fail to comprehend why.

These days, spectators are forced to huddle beneath the stands for their pre-match and half-time drinks, often in cramped conditions. Surely with the plethora of plastic cups we`re forced to use already, taking your drink back to your seat shouldn`t be such a no-no.

Here`s hoping those gentle folk of Suffolk get their way and start a mini revolution!
