Another day dawned this morning and yet again speculation is rife relating to the future of the young Chelsea forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 18-year-old, who started against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening, continues to be courted by the Bavarian giants, Bayern Munich.
After seeing several bids for the player rebuffed, the Guardian, is reporting that Bayern’s desperation to sign the player has seen them increase their offer to £35 million.
Now for a player that has played just seven times this season, that is a huge offer.
But Bayern Munich seem keen to land their man and their director of sport, Hasan Salihamidzic, has, as reported by the BBC, confirmed exactly why his club want the player, remarking:
“We really want to sign him.
“He has qualities that fit our team. He can dribble and has a drive towards goal. He has lots of potential.”
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can continue to resist the overtures coming from the Allianz Arena, my guess, unfortunately, is that they won’t and with the player adamant he wants to leave, will let him go.
