Although Antonio Conte has heavily hinted that he is looking to strengthen the squad this summer, there is also the probability that some squad members could leave.

Today, the respected journalists of The Guardian, are intimating that two of the current Chelsea squad could be heading to the south-coast.

The two in question are both wanted by AFC Bournemouth as the Cherries seek to further enhance their reputation as a Premier League side.

It seems that AFC Bournemouth are willing to pay Chelsea a combined fee of £30 million for Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake.

Begovic was linked with a move to the Vitality Stadium back in the January transfer window, but a move didn`t materialise as Chelsea were unable to bring in a top-notch replacement understudy keeper.

Ake, on the other hand, spent the first half of the season on loan at AFC Bournemouth before being, surprisingly recalled to Stamford Bridge a move made even more surprising as Ake barely featured for Chelsea once he had returned.

Begovic, we feel, is destined to make that move to the south-coast but as for Ake, we`re not so sure considering the praise that was lavished upon the young Dutchman by Antonio Conte recently.

  • I find it worrying when these rumours come out about our young players. As far as young players go, there aren’t many better than what we have and if we can’t play the likes of Ake and will sell for £20m, then unless we have a plan to buy him in three years time for £50m plus, then I don’t see how this can be a good deal? For me, Ake, Christensen and Chalobah have to be integrated next year, with serious game time, followed next by loans for Abraham, Lewis Baker and Loftus Cheek to premier league sides, and implementing them seriously in two seasons time. If we’re going to sell any one, then it might have to be Zouma, as I feel he suits a back four better than a three, he’s ball control is not good enough, followed by some one I do rate, but is now too old to be considered young – Kenneth Ormeru.

I just have a horrible feeling that we’ll buy big this year and not integrate the youngsters till the season after. I feel the foundations are still being laid first team-wise.

  • No selling Ake …. that would be very foolish …. i also believe Matt Miazga can have a future with Chelsea and should not be sold either.

  • At current rate Andreas Christensen is more developed to play in our 1st team more than Matt Miazga @ZeeNut. Matt need to improve his decision making & prove he is above our talented youngsters like Kasey Palmer in the pecking order.

  • Always log on to “we ain’t got no history ” WAGNH & read updates our on loan army @Jerry O. We got them all across the globe.

  • The board shouldn’t sell Ake else Stan will come up with another article about how clueless they are…of course we’ll back Mr Stan this time if Ake is sold
