Beware Of The Wounded Lion

Many of you will simply be thinking, what now.

Were do we go? Who do we bring in? Will we turn it all around or will the slide continue?

One fixture is creeping ominously closer, as the Old Lady prepares to head to Stamford Bridge at the end the month, with Chelsea preparing for yet another ‘must win’ match.

Recent form would have many thinking that Juve will sweep aside our hapless hoard of money loving mercenaries, but a prominent member of the opposition camp thinks that the move to sack Scoari is a positive one.

Gianluigi Buffon has made his thoughts clear, and he believes the players could be spurred on by the wakeup call they have received with the dismissal of Scolari.

‘It would have been better if he had been sacked after they hadn’t got through to the next round. However, in my opinion a change of manager means the team aren’t doing well, that’s what normally happens.

‘Usually when a team changes manager they’re weakened but their desire isn’t, so we’ll have to see.

‘I don’t know if it will favour Juve. You will only be able to tell that after the game unfortunately.

‘But a change in manager normally provokes a reaction and in this case, looking at the players Chelsea have, I think it will have a positive effect.’

What are your thoughts? Should Juventus be weary of the wounded lion, or will we be tamed by the Italian giants?
