Lurking in leading tabloid paper this morning is the suggestion that a fellow Premier League club is looking to purchase not one but two of our current squad.

According to the Mirror, Bournemouth are looking at procuring the services of both Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake.

Our reference source goes on to suggest that Eddie Howe is keen on the duo and is willing to offer Chelsea Football Club £25 million for the pair.

Ake, as we`re all well aware, was on loan at the south-coast club earlier this season, making eleven appearances before Chelsea decided to recall the 22-year-old Dutchman. But, since being recalled, Ake has rarely featured although he did give everyone a reminder of his talents when he stepped in to replace Gary Cahill in the FA Cup semi-final, on Saturday.

Begovic has, previously, back in the January transfer window been linked with a move to the Vitality Stadium but Chelsea weren`t prepared to let their back-up keeper go without recruiting a replacement first, something that never happened.

Our source infers that Howe is confident of getting the duo this summer, something we here at Vital Chelsea might disagree with, Begovic might be available but we reckon Conte has plans for Nathan Ake next season.

But what`s your take on the situation?

We`d be interested to read your views in our comments facility.

  • Let them concentrate on Begovic as he is realistic target, nobody in CFC will sanction a deal for Ake at least not after that performance against Spurs. Ake’s value now is way more than £30m in today’s market & he is one of the future of the club. No way Ake ain’t going nowhere but alternatively they can negotiate to have Miazga, Aina or any of our talented young defenders on loan.

  • Every player has a price but last time I was at seaside things were expensive. Double that figure and then maybe they have a chance
