Earlier this week Willy Caballero made his international debut, for Argentine.

Our second-choice keeper, approaching the veteran stage of his career, kept a clean-sheet in a friendly international against Italy.

Last night, Caballero was on the bench as Argentina took on a highly fancied Spain side.

However, Willy was soon pulling on his gloves.

In the melee that saw our former centre-forward, Diego Costa, score the opening goal of the game, the Argentine keeper, Sergio Romero, picked up an injury and had to be replaced.

Caballero took his place between the sticks but could do absolutely nothing as Spain turned on the style to hand Argentina their joint-heaviest defeat in international football, with the side from the Iberian Peninsula winning 6-1.

The other Spanish goals came from Isco (3), Thiago Alcantara and Iago Aspas, whilst Argentina`s consolation goal came from Nicolas Otamendi.

Somehow, I doubt whether Willy enjoyed his second game for Argentina as much as he did the first.
