Signed by Jose Mourinho, Ricardo Carvalho was the sort of defender you just love to watch.
Although a little impetuous at times, his cultured skills perfectly complimented the more rugged style of John Terry and it`s fair to say that they were up there with the best defensive pairings in Europe.
When Ricardo left Chelsea, to join Real Madrid, it was a sad day but the defender couldn`t resist the lure of a spell at the famous Spanish club, once again teaming up with Jose.
However, the tabloid press is now inferring that, as his Madrid contract runs down, the Portuguese defender could be upping sticks again. This time it is being suggested that at the age of thirty-three, Ricardo could be heading for Turkish football and a spell with Fenerbahce.
Will our paths cross one more time?
