At the FA headquarters in Soho Square, Chelsea old-boy Peter Osgood pulled out ball number ten to ensure Chelsea would have the added bonus of a home draw. Ex-Sunderland goalkeeper, Jim Montgomery, pulling out the away teams matched us against Huddersfield Town in a cup tie that has the potential of giant killing attached to it.

Huddersfield, managed by Peter Jackson, are currently flying high in League One and on Sunday afternoon managed to see off the brave challenge of Worcester City to earn a place in the third round.

In a strange way the ties has echoes of last season when Scunthorpe United visited Stamford Bridge for an FA Cup tie. On that occassion Scunthorpe supporter’s had a wondeful day out even though their team were beaten. Mourinho helped to make it a day to remember for all those involved.

With Chelsea having already pledged to lower prices for FA Cup ties, the tie should be played out in front of a capacity crowd during the weekend of Jnauary 7th/8th.

Here’s hoping Huddersfield have a bumper pay day whilst Chelsea march on in the only domestic competiton several of the first team squad have yet to win a winners medal in.
