Does anybody remember when Chelsea were heavily linked with Kalidou Koulibaly?
If my mind serves me right, back in the summer of 2015, or was it 2016, it only seemed a matter of time before the centre-back, now 26-years-of-age, was to sign for Chelsea.
The Senegalese international centre-back was seen as the replacement for John Terry.
However, the viewpoint we got suggested that his club, the Serie A based Napoli, were either reluctant to sell or were keen to extract as much cash as they could from Chelsea Football Club.
At one-stage, a figure in excess of £50 million was being bandied about.
The transfer window closed without a deal being done and Chelsea looked elsewhere.
Well now it seems, according to the news vehicle, Talksport, Napoli are willing to sell their player for £45 million.
Can anybody see Chelsea revisiting the situation or has his particular boat long sailed?
