Chelsea LFC Keeping Up The Pressure On All Fronts

Chelsea have taken another step on their road to Women’s Super League glory with a hard-earned 1-0 win over Everton this evening.

Fresh off the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Manchester City, the ladies travelled up to the north-west hoping to stay ahead of City in the chase for the title.

The win came about with a 12th minute winner from Magdalena Eriksson. Ramona Bachmann’s free-kick came back off the bar and the Swede was on hand to head in off the bar.

The game was a scrappy affair with few chances. This game was all about the three points. City also won, staying 3 points behind Chelsea but with a game in hand.

Chelsea are on the hunt for the treble. The next three weekend’s will determine their fate. On Sunday, Emma Hayes side face Wolfsburg in the home leg of their Champions League semi-final. The second leg is in Germany is a week later. The weekend after that, it’s a trip to Wembley and an FA Cup final against Arsenal.

After all that, it’s a hectic month of May that awaits. Four WSL games in question precede a possible Champions League final. The ladies have plenty to play for. We’ll be covering all those games here on Vital Chelsea.
