Chelsea Support United In Their Belief This Deal Should Not Be Allowed To Happen

|

Yesterday, on a day of many rumours, we sank our teeth into one that related to our German international defender, Antonio Rudiger.

Surplus to requirements under the Frank Lampard regime at Stamford Bridge, we covered, via this article – chelsea-defender-linked-with-a-controversial-loan-move – the inference that Rudiger could end up at Tottenham Hotspur, shoring up Jose Mourinho’s defence.

As a result, we just had to hold a poll gauging your opinion on such a deal.

Our poll was simply entitled:

Should Chelsea Loan Rudiger To Spurs?

The response was just as I hoped with 81% voting for the NO option with a mere 19% going for the YES option.

It warms the cockles of my heart to see that us giving any assistance to our rivals from North London is still a big no-no.

Not many players have made the direct move to Tottenham Hotspur from Chelsea, with only Gordon Durie and Gus Poyet, in recent times, springing to mind.

But the way the game is shaping these days, it would not surprise me if such a deal did get done, money talks these days, especially in these pandemic days.
