Chelsea Switch Their Attentions When It Comes To A New Goalkeeper For The New Season

Yesterday, as the transfer speculation relating to a possible move to Chelsea for the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, increased, we were quick to cover the gossip.

Our article – chelsea-target-set-to-consider-his-future-as-interest-in-his-services-mounts – covered the fact that the Slovenian keeper was considering his options.

This morning, The Daily Star are reporting that Chelsea, in order to ease the £110 million asking price the Spanish club want for their asset, Chelsea were set to offer Kepa Arrizabalaga in art-exchange for Oblak.

However, we are now reading, courtesy of The Daily Mail, that Chelsea, bearing in mind the huge asking price, have abandoned any plans to sign Oblak.

Instead they are, if our quoted source is correct, are now concentrating on obtaining the services of either the Ajax goalkeeper, Andre Onana or the Burnley goalkeeper, Nick Pope.

My preference would be a move for Pope who had an outstanding season for Burnley, but, out of the two names mentioned, who would you prefer?
