A player that has been mentioned in the same sentence as Chelsea Football Club on many occasions features in the transfer speculation this morning.

The player is also somebody that Antonio Conte has admitted his admiration for and a player that would be an ideal addition to the Chelsea squad in the wing-back capacity.

The player in question is none other than Michail Antonio.

Since joining West Ham United, from Nottingham Forest, 27-year-old Antonio has come on in leaps and bounds and, in recent times, only injuries have stopped the full-back-cum-winger making his England debut.

But, according to the bastion of broadsheets, The Times, Antonio is far from happy at the East London club.

It seems that Antonio, who won`t play again this season courtesy of a hamstring injury, has rejected a new contract offer and is far from happy with the manner in which the club have handled his injury, causing the player to have a fall-out with the board.

Our source also picks up on the point that Antonio turned down the contract offer as it didn`t match the salaries offered to Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass when they signed from Southampton and Hull City respectively.

Could Chelsea be set to benefit from this piece of East End fall-out?
