Chelsea To Sign A Striker Speculation Starts To Gather Momentum

The speculation linking Chelsea with a move for the Bournemouth striker, Callum Wilson, appears to be gathering momentum.

Wilson, who was linked with a move to Chelsea earlier this week Click Here, has been called up, by Gareth Southgate, for the England squad that will play the USA and Croatia in the forthcoming third international break of the season.

The call-up is in recognition of the fine start to the season the 26-year-old has made.

But today, as the speculation continues to mount, the popular tabloid publication, the Sun, is reporting that Chelsea are looking to offer Bournemouth the sum of £35 million for the player.

It remains to be seen whether the magnitude of the transfer fee is sufficient to persuade the south-coast club to consider a sale, but it seems that Maurizio Sarri is intent on bringing in some competition for Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud for the lone striker role.

Wilson, who has overcome two bad knee injuries to rebuild his career, appears to be the player Sarri favours.
