Yesterday, lurking in a respectable newspaper, was the suggestion that Antonio Conte has identified six new signings.

The suggestion, courtesy of the Independent, points out that Chelsea have identified six primary summer signings and have a budget of £200 million.

Furthermore, the reference source is of the opinion that one of those six potential signings is the 25-year-old Southampton defender, Virgil van Dijk.

There`s no doubting the squad needs some depth adding to it, the lacklustre defensive display against Watford, on Monday night, gave enough evidence of that.

But, and this is where you come in, what other five positions do you feel we need to add some depth to and, whilst we`re at it, who would you bring in with the reputed £200 million transfer chest?

Here at Vital Chelsea we`d be interested to read your opinion sin our comments facility beneath this article.

  • I am very sure we need one or two strikers depending on Costa’s decision. A defender is also needed.

  • And to think that it is a possibility that out of the 200, most of it will be spent on Lukaku. Smh.

  • Even that Italian kid at Torino is cheaper, Morata would be first choice, but realistically he just signed an extension last season and Real have no back up for Benzema .

  • There’s speculation Madrid are gunning for Mbape to pave way for morata’s impending departure

  • We need 1 wingback – no cover for moses/alonso currently
We need 1 striker – mostly a replacement for costa (new striker+bats, costa + new striker)
We need 1 RM – someone as creative as hazard (we will have hazard, pedro, willian and the new guy)
Finally, we might need one central defender but id rather we give christensen a chance than buy one

  • Metro:Chelsea?s decision to keep Hazard creates problem for Mourinho?s transfer plans at Man Utd
Real Madrid will compete with Manchester United for the signing of Bernardo Silva after making the Monaco midfielder one of their priority transfer targets, according to reports in France.
Le10 Sport claim that Chelsea are refusing to make Eden Hazard available this summer, meaning that Zinedine Zidane?s side are looking elsewhere for a new attacking midfielder.
And Silva has now been identified by Madrid?s hierarchy as the player they want to replace James Rodriguez, who will be sold this summer.

  • One striker (morata and if he won’t come, lukaku), one wing back (preferrably backup to moses) and an upgrade to matic (naingollan/kovacic, either will be my preference) the person must be able to take a shot anyways, it must be his thing. All in all, we should make sure we wrap up our transfers quick so conte can start working with them from preseason.

Believe me 3 out of the 6 are surely coming in . The others will be a surprise addition just like Alonso and Luiz came in as a surprise .

  • Bakayoko seems likely, We can get Sanchez if we include Tammy, but Everton also want him as part of the Lukaku deal .

  • Sanchez or griezman to complement Hazard. Morata to replace Costa. We need a midfielder with good awareness-one that can pass in tight spaces(don’t know who). In defense, welcome back christiensen and snap up the guy from Southampton. Keep Ake as cover for Alonso, keep zouman, Azpilicueta can deputies for moses when the need arise

  • Metro: “Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly looking increasingly likely to make a bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer window.

The Chile international is at the forefront of Conte?s summer plans, as the Italian is desperate to land a top class forward ideal for his 3-4-3 formation.
Conte views Sanchez as a perfect fit for one of the wide-forward roles behind a central striker, though he?s also shown he can play up front to good effect for much of this season.

Arsenal are highly reluctant to sell to one of their Premier League rivals and have avoided losing star names to direct title competitors since letting Robin van Persie join Manchester United in 2012.”
