On Wednesday evening Chelsea will be hoping to further their hopes of making the knockout stages of the Champions League, when they entertain Roma.

With a 100% record from their first two games, Antonio Conte`s side are in a good position, however, Roma will be a tough test with the Italians having won five games on the bonce before losing to Napoli at the weekend.

For this fixture, Chelsea will be missing the trio of Victor Moses, N`Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater, with the latter suffering from a calf problem and the other two with hamstring injuries.

However, Antonio Conte has given the broadest hint yet that somebody who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury, Alvaro Morata, will start, with Conte being quoted as having remarked,

‘I could take a risk on Saturday to force Morata to play against Crystal Palace, but I’m not so stupid.

‘I’m not taking a risk if I decide for Morata to play against Roma.’

That`s good news for all concerned with Chelsea.

With regards to or Italian opposition, Roma, they`re set to welcome back the duo of Kevin Strootman and Stephan El Shaarawy, the midfielder and forward missed the weekend defeat at the hands of Napoli.
