Chelsea’s Hazard in Shock Admission

|

As the 2017 / 2018 season heads towards a close, with Chelsea looking to end the season winning the FA Cup, the form of Eden Hazard has been causing some concern.

Our 27-year-old Belgian international hasn’t been hitting the heights expected and consequently the form of the side has also suffered.

With the FA Cup semi-final, against Southampton, fast approaching, as well as the 2018 World Cup, we’re hoping that Eden can rediscover that magic touch we know he is capable of.

Ahead of the Premier League trip, to take on Southampton, Eden has opened up about his drop in form.

Lurking in the pages of the Standard, are some quotes picked up from an interview Eden gave to Sky Sports, quotes which read;

“For the last two months, no I have not been happy with my form. Because the results are not good. I don’t play football just for me, I play for the team. If I play good, but we are not winning, I am not happy. That’s it.

“It’s better for me to play very bad and at the end of the game we win 1-0. I don’t like stats, I play for a long time, so I am on the pitch to enjoy.

“If I can score, I score. If I can assist, I assist. But I just want to be happy on the pitch, and when you are winning you are happy, and when you are not winning you are not happy.”

There’s no denying that a Chelsea side with Hazard on form, is a far better side, perhaps one or two moments of magic, away to Southampton, will get Eden back on track.
