When the news broke that our midfield general, N`Golo Kante, had been taken off with a hamstring injury whilst on international duty, it was our worst fear realised.

Kante is the heartbeat of our team and his absence will hurt us badly.

Sadly, according to reports emerging in the media, especially the Telegraph, suggest that Chelsea could be without the 26-year-old for all of this month whilst he recovers from the hamstring injury.

Chelsea have a busy fixture list this month and if our aforementioned source has its facts correct then Kante will miss the fixtures against Crystal Palace (a), Roma (h), Watford (h), Everton (h) Bournemouth (a) and Roma (a).

Hopefully, Kante`s recovery period might be quicker than expected but with two key members of our starting eleven side-lined, Antonio Conte will be hoping that whoever steps into the breach can deliver, otherwise our season could, I`m afraid, take a nose-dive.
