Antonio Conte has been speaking following Chelsea`s abysmal showing in the Italian capital. Interviewed on BT Sport following the game Conte spoke of his disappointment, particularly with Chelsea`s second half performance. Personally I didn`t see much to shout about in the first half. He told BT,
`When you lose 3-0, it means it wasn`t a good performance. Our first half was good, we created many chances to score, but to be 2-0 down was unfair.`
`But in the second half, it was a really bad performance. Roma showed more will to fight and more desire to win the game. I`m very disappointed with our second half. For this performance, we all have to take responsibility.`
`When you concede three goals, you must be worried. It means something doesn`t work.`
`It`s very difficult now, but we have to analyse the game. We need to work on the tactical aspect. We are working less on this aspect this season. We have to look at ourselves. Tonight was a bad night for us. Just one night, I hope.`
There`s not much to be happy about there. Conte gives no real clues as to what went wrong and why it was so bad on the pitch. He certainly has lot to think about ahead of meeting up with serial bus-parker Jose Mourinho on Sunday.
At least the game tonight may lull the former ‘special one` into a false sense of superiority. But, quite how Chelsea`s ineffective offensive players will able to breach Mourinho`s number 9 bus on Sunday though, boggles my mind.
