In what is, for a red-top publication, a rarity, one news source has printed something positive about Chelsea this morning.
In stark contrast to what many news sources have been peddling in the past few weeks, the good folk of the Mirror, have printed something positive about Antonio Conte and Chelsea Football Club.
Despite the harbingers of doom predicting that Antonio could be a matter of a few games away from being axed by Chelsea, our aforementioned source is reporting that, despite the horror of Halloween night in Rome, Conte still retains the support of the board.
Indeed, our aforementioned source goes on to report that the board are sympathetic to the problems Conte has encountered this season, injuries and setbacks etc.
However, with Chelsea needing to beat Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, on Sunday, to effectively remain in the Premier League title race, a little part of me (and I don`t know why) has this inevitable feeling that those who control our club have just given Antonio Conte that dreaded vote of confidence!
And we know what usually comes after that in the managerial world!
