It finally looks as though some incoming transfer news could be imminent. According to Metro Antonio Rudiger has undergone a medical at a ‘Chelsea approved` facility in Los Angeles ahead of his £34million move. The deal could be announced as early as this afternoon.
Following on from his success with the German national side at the Confederations Cup, the Roma defender is in the States for a holiday before, hopefully, starting pre-season training at Cobham.
The sourced story cites German website Kicker as saying that Chelsea and Roma have agreed a fee and the that the player will sign a 5 year deal worth £85,000 per week. Nice!
Chelsea head out to the far east in two weeks time for their annual tour, I`m sure Antonio Conte would like Rudiger to be on the plane. As ever with these stories though, until the player is holding the shirt it all just hopeful speculation.
