With his Chelsea future shrouded in doubt, Del Horno has another problem to worry about.

With the name of Roberto Carlos still being linked with Chelsea and the club doing nothing to deny his probable impending arrival, Asier Del Horno has recently been reported as remarking that although he?s been flattered to have been linked with a move to Real Madrid, he wants to see out the remaining three years of his contract.

After a mixed first season at Chelsea, Del Horno would have been hoping for a good World Cup after making the Spanish World Cup squad. Unfortunately, Del Horno has suffered an injury in training and could yet miss out on the tournament.

At the moment there are conflicting reports regarding the injury? One tabloid suggests he has tore a calf muscle whilst another suggests it is an ankle problem. However, a source from within the Spanish camp suggests that the injury is in the area of the Achilles tendon and that it is giving the Spanish camp cause for concern.

With exactly two weeks to go until the biggest festival of football this planet has ever seen starts, time isn?t on Del Horno?s side, however, we here at Vital wish him a speedy recovery and hope that the promising twenty-two year old gets a chance to fulfil his dream and represent his country at the World Cup.
