Touted as being, quite possibly, the next Chelsea signing, it appears to have all gone quiet on the Marco van Ginkel front.
Not that long ago it appeared that a deal for the 20 year-old midfielder was all but done and that the Vitesse Arnhem player would be part of Jose Mourinho`s squad.
So what`s happened?
Well it appears that whilst Van Ginkel is keen to come to Stamford Bridge but has reservations about not being a regular starter.
It seems that the 20 year-old, as you can understand, keen to ensure he sees enough of the action to ensure his place in the Dutch squad for the 2014 World Cup, in Brazil, isn`t jeopardized.
But, when you have a plethora of talent that reads like a who`s who with regards to midfielders – Ramires, Luiz, Lampard, Hazard, Mata, Oscar – can Jose Mourinho offer him such a guarantee?
