Eidur pulls out of Chelsea Television appearance!
Tonight, tuning into Chelsea TV, we were surprised to learn that the much publicised appearances by John Terry and Eidur Gudjohnsen had not materialised.
Terry, has remained at home with his other half, Toni, as they await the appearance of their twins, however, our on the spot (or should thta be spotty?), roving reporter believes that Eidur?s non-show has a far more sinister feel to it.
It would appear that Eidur is deeply shocked that he has been linked to our rivals Tottenham Hotspur and has decided to spend some time mulling things over.
Indeed, our spy tells us that Eidur is frantically trying to remember when he last trod on a crack in the pavement, upset a black cat or broke a mirror.
More movingly, our office junior, on Eidur?s behalf, has spent the last thirty minutes delving back through months of tabloid papers trying desperately to find an incident that may have resulted in a desperate hack pursuing a misguided grievance.
Regretfully, she has yet to uncover anything. Therefore, we can only hope that this is just a malicious rumour that has spread quicker than a bush fire.
Until the shame dies down, Eidur, we believe, has resolved to stay out of the public limelight and is looking forward to getting back to his native Iceland for a summer break.
Meanwhile, we here at Chelsea Vital hope that this unjust rumour will soon become tomorrows? fish and chip paper.
