There was a turn up for the books at Stamford Bridge tonight. Ethan Ampadu, who only joined Chelsea at the beginning of the summer from Exeter, made his first team debut in the EFL Cup against Nottingham Forest tonight, aged just 17.

The youngster came on as a replacement for Cesc Fabregas in the 56th minute of the game with Chelsea leading 4-0. In coming on, he became the first player to be born in the 2000`s to play in Chelsea`s first XI.

Antonio Conte rotated his team for the third round game, starting it with Kenedy as a wing-back in place of Marcos Alonso and Charly Musonda attacking on the right side of midfield. They both scored in a frantic first half against the Championship side. Fellow development player Tammy Abraham, currently on loan at Swansea City took to twitter,
