Eden Hazard was, once again, the star of the show at Stamford Bridge as Newcastle were beaten 3-1.

The Belgian, Chelsea`s jewel-in-the-crown, scored a brace and could quite easily have had a hat-trick but for some smart saves from Darlow in the Newcastle goal.

After the final whistle, Eden was grabbed by the Sky Sports team and asked a few questions.

One related to his first goal where Eden hit the ball into the ground to see it bounce over Darlow in the Newcastle goal, Eden was asked whether there was an element of luck about it, to which he replied,

‘I don’t think so. The most important thing is to put the ball in the net so I just shoot. I try, I try [to do it on purpose].

And when pressed on being substituted before he could grab a hat-trick, Eden responded with,

‘It’s not a problem for me [to not score a hat-trick]. We won the game; that’s the most important thing. We play on Tuesday so a rest is sometimes good, when I score two I want to score a hat-trick but the other boys score, no problem.
As for the cheeky penalty where he chipped Darlow after the keeper had moved, Eden further added,

‘When I take the ball in my hands, instinct. I just want to do this. I just want the goalkeeper to move, if he doesn’t move, I’m in trouble. He moved, the ball is in the middle, it was a good penalty.’

But what did the Newcastle keeper Darlow think about being beaten by such a cheeky penalty>

This is what he had to say when asked by the Sky Sports team,

‘The chip annoyed me a little bit. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t, but it’s a great penalty.”

Just what would we do without Eden!
