Yesterday, Eden Hazard provided the kind of performance that makes him such a special player.
As well as scoring the winner, in the fifty-first minute, the Belgian also created seven goal-scoring chances, sadly none of which were taken.
Eden`s goal means that he has now scored five times in five Premier league games against Bournemouth, quite a statistic.
After the game, Hazard spoke to the media.
First up, the his views on the goal and the performance the side gave,
‘It was a very good goal, important also. When you play this kind of game you just need to win.
‘We created a lot of chances…we didn’t score, that’s the problem, but we have three points and we move on.”
And on keeping a clean sheet, Eden added,
‘I think Thibaut needed this for the confidence, but I think all the team deserve this, we did well defensively, offensively also.’
And on whether Chelsea can catch the leaders Manchester City, who have a nine points advantage over Chelsea, the Belgian further added,
‘The season is long, you never know what can happen. They are top and play well with a lot of goals…but we have a lot of games to play, we will see at the end of the season.’
It`s a tall order to close that gap but in this game of ours you just never know.
