It`s half time out in Baku and Chelsea lead 2-0 and are looking set to make the last 16 of the Champions League, with a game to spare.
But whilst we dwell on what we`ve witnessed in the first forty-five minutes, here`s two interesting facts relating to the first-goal that you may not be aware of:
1 – When Hazard, after a lengthy delay following the award of the penalty, strolled forward and stuck it into the corner of the net, it was his 8th goal in the Champions League, making him the top-scoring Belgian in the competitions history.
And
2 – The penalty scored by Hazard also meant that Chelsea`s last 8 goals on the road in the Champions League have been scored by different players – Batshuayi, Morata, Mikel, Zouma, Oscar, Willian, Cahill and Hazard.
