I`m Free

Left to rot / train with the youth team, Florent Malouda`s year of hell is now over.

The thirty-two year old Frenchman, who Chelsea paid £13 million for, is probably skipping along the beach singing that famous line bellowed by Roger Daltrey, of The Who – “I`m free”

Now I guess we`ll never really know what went on behind the scenes and why Chelsea felt compelled to banish Florent for a year but the Frenchman definitely relishes a chance to get away from Stamford Bridge after six years with us.

Talking about his future, Malouda has remarked to the media,

“I am now free and can move on. There is some interest which means there are people that still believe in my football talent.”

One possible destination appears to be his former club, Lyon.

Here at Vital Chelsea we`d like to thank Florent for his contribution to the cause but we`d also like to ask you for your favourite Malouda memory during his six-year spell at Stamford Bridge.

Also, did Malouda deserve what was heaped upon him in his final season with us?

Or was it, in your opinion, uncalled for?
