Last night, at a plush London hotel, N`Golo Kante was named as the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Player of the Year.

The 26-year-old midfielder who has been a revelation since arriving in the summer from Leicester City, held off the challenge of his team-mate Eden Hazard, Harry Kane (Spurs), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United) and Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) to take the accolade.

After being awarded the top prize the PFA award, the unassuming Kante had a few words to say, remarking,

‘It’s a huge honour to be chosen by the other players. It’s the biggest honour to get this award.’

And as for the rest of the 2016 / 2017 season, where Chelsea moved a step closer to a League and Cup Double after beating Spurs, at Wembley, on Saturday, N`Golo added,

“I have the desire to win and finish the season well.”

Here at Vital Chelsea we`d like to add our congratulations to the many N`Golo has received since the announcement of the ward was made, well done N`Golo from all at Vital Chelsea.
