It`s interesting to see that, with our season lurching from one crisis to another, every man and his dog thinks they can have their say.
The latest to stick their tuppence-worth in is the Southampton manager Ronald Koeman.
Okay, he may have overseen his team, Southampton, beat us 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, in our last Premier League game but surely it is a bit presumptuous for the Dutchman to go so public with his views when his managerial record isn`t a patch on that of the Special One.
Talking about Jose`s apparent failings, Koeman is quoted in the Express as having remarked,
‘Chelsea prefer to defend when attacking is also an option. Mourinho always chooses to defend.
‘Even if his team goes 1-0 up, they would rather defend their lead than try to score more goals.
‘Yet Arsenal can kill an opponent. That is why their victory against Manchester United was so impressive. Attacking-wise, they completely destroyed United.
‘For 20 minutes, they played the most fantastic football, while Chelsea do the opposite thing.
‘By defending, Chelsea give their opponent a chance to come back in the game.”
So would this be the same Arsenal who last when the Premier League?..when?
The same Arsenal who, under Arsene Wenger, have beaten Chelsea just once when Jose Mourinho has been at the Chelsea helm!
The same Arsenal who, invariably fall apart at the seams usually around the month of February!
I could go on and on and on Mr Koeman but I think you`ll get my drift!
