This Sunday lunchtime, Chelsea resume their Premier League campaign with an away fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion.
After the wonderful win, against Manchester City, last weekend, all the talk should have been about the team.
Unfortunately, the media have mounted a witch-hunt in which it seems all the ills of the world lie at our doorstep.
No doubt, with two incidents of race-related incidents in our last two matches, the media will be scrutinising every second of the game.
Perhaps, it might be better to take a vow of silence down on the south coast!
Sadly, the actions of a few have detracted from the performances on the pitch, perhaps this Sunday normality will be resumed.
Brighton is, no doubt, a tough trip and wouldn’t it be just like Chelsea to beat City and then be humbled by the Seagulls.
