Back in the summer, with a new manager on board, we were all waiting to see how Antonio Conte would go about his business.

One player, who had been sent out on loan for three consecutive seasons, Victor Moses, might possibly have been more than interested as to how the appointment of Antonio would affect him.

The three previous campaigns had seen Moses sent to such far flung destinations as Liverpool and Stoke City before the former Wigan player served a season closer-to-home, at West Ham.

But, if we fast forward from last July to the present moment, it has to be said that Victor Moses is one of the success stories of Chelsea`s season.

Employed as a wing-back, combining his defensive ability with his natural attacking instincts, Moses has established himself as a regular in the side.

Talking to the media Moses has spoken about his emergence as a key member of Conte`s team, remarking,

“I have always believed in my ability to play for a big club like Chelsea. Now I have proved that.

“We have a manager here willing to give everybody an opportunity – he gave me on and I didn`t look back.

“He didn`t say to me, ‘Do you fancy playing wing-back? He just put me in there.

“After that, he kept on encouraging me and went through it with me. What the position was all about, mostly in training.

“It was a new manager giving me the opportunity to express myself – and I am enjoying it.

“I just want to keep on working hard – every game, every week – to make sure I am still improving.

“And when I play against a winger, because I was one myself I understand what they are going to do.”

What a transformation is all I can add!
