As we prepare to face Arsenal this evening, Jose Mourinho has cast an envious eye towards the Emirates Stadium and hinted that he`s yearning for, just like Arsene Wenger has had at Arsenal, a long spell with Chelsea.

In fact Jose has intimated that he`d like to stay at Stamford Bridge for 12 years, establishing a dynasty, before taking one final role as an international manager.

Giving an insight into why he took on the Chelsea job and his plans for the club, Jose gave the following quotes to a media that hang on to his every word,

“If I was here for me I wouldn`t be here. Because I had a lot of teams in my hands that could have been successful immediately. I had Real Madrid.”

“I left Real because I wanted to, not because they wanted me to. I had other clubs in other countries where it would be easier to go and find an ‘easy` job immediately.”

“If I was here for financial reasons, I wouldn`t be here getting a lot less money than I had at Real Madrid, where I had three years on my contract.”

“I didn`t come here because the job was easy, or because I had a team ready to challenge for the title. Or because I was coming here for the best contract of my life.”

“It`s the worst of my last six years. I`m here because I love the club, I love the project.”

“I also love the country in terms of football. But the main reason is that it was explained what the club wanted of me, and I liked that.”

If Jose does manage a lengthy spell in charge of Chelsea Football Club it will confirm two things,

1 – We`ll have bucked the trend that sees managers come and go on a regular basis in SW6.

And

2 – We`ll have continued the trend of being successful that has been prevalent in the first decade of Roman Abramovich`s ownership!
