I think, at some time in the past, we may have mentioned the name of Paul Pogba and Chelsea in the same sentence more than once.
Pogba, a midfielder coveted by many, is being linked with a move away from Juventus this summer.
Any such transfer would cost a colossal fee but at still just twenty-two years of age, Pogba has a whole career to give the right club.
But whilst Pogba could, quite probably, have the pick of any club in Europe, one source the Daily Star on Sunday, infers that two Premier League clubs lead the race, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Furthermore, it is being suggested that both clubs, in order to entice Pogba to the Premier League, are said to be willing to pay the French international midfielder a huge £300,000 a week, a colossal fee.
To me, the financial side of the game is reaching a worrying stage that is in serious danger of alienating the support.
