With the distant sound of Sir Alex Ferguson`s mumblings relating to David Luiz`s impression of a dying swan and also that mischievous smile the Brazilian flashed, Rafa Benitez has had his say.

At his pre-match press conference, ahead of the clash with Spurs tonight, Rafa told those journalists in attendance,

“There are more serious problems in the game than people laughing.”

“There are a lot of tackles every game that can break legs and nothing happens.”

“But try to protect the ball and have a smile on your face and it`s the end of the world.”

“It was a clear red card and David was laughing because the fans were abusing him.”

“These comments give importance to things that are not important instead of trying to eradicate the bad tackles you see every week.”

I couldn`t have put it better myself Rafa!
