Second Coming…what I expect…

Now that it`s almost certain that Jose is coming back, I haven’t really been freaked/happy about his second coming but now I have accepted the fact that he will be in charge at Stamford Bridge next season.

We all know Jose is a winner and a top one at that, he has spent over 10 years in management and there is this believe that he has matured and is more experienced as a manager, thereby I wouldn’t expect much of the negativity that surrounded his team at Madrid and the media hatred he received in his first spell.

Well the main reason for this article is looking at what might be at CFC next season if Jose is in charge. Looking at all Jose’s squads he has managed apart from Porto (which I really don’t know much about) there is a common feature and that is his midfield (including wingers) and defence are the most strongest in his team with the attack the least strongest(though not bad).

At Chelsea, I am of the opinion that our defence isn’t poor but with more discipline from a manager like Jose we could become rock solid again, as for the midfield there is a lot to be done and as for the striking department every day I keep seeing a scenario where our striker will either be Ba and Lewandowski if we can steal him from Bayern Munich but if we can’t I see Ba and Lukaku leading the line next season.

It`s no mistake that we were tipped favourite for Falcao’s signature and we were rumoured to be willing to meet his release clause before the season ended but now he is at Monaco, it`s no surprise that we are linked with De Rossi’s signature as that is a sign that it is Jose’s call and he is looking to strengthen the midfield/wings already.

At Chelsea, Jose’s midfield consisted of Robben, Lamps, Essien, Cole, Makaelele etc, at Inter there was Cambiasso, Sneijder, Eto’o (on the wings), Matterazzi etc, at Madrid he had Khirdira, Alonso, Ronaldo, Di Maria, 0zil etc…even last summer when Benzema and Higuain weren`t as prolific as one would expect instead of signing a striker he strengthened his midfield and signed Modric

My point is I am expecting same at Chelsea this summer, I believe if he is given a £100m kitty..75% of that money would go to strengthen the midfield, the wings and maybe some area in the defence if need be, same reason I am not scared about De Bruyne’s future at CFC rather I am scared of that of Moses because I personally believe De Bruyne is better than Moses,

I will tell you why I brought that up, this is what I expect Jose would do when he comes in, bring in a no nonsense defensive midfielder who could also play as a BOX to BOX ie De Rossi ,the pivot players would then be Mikel, Ramires, De Rossi, Lamps and maybe Essien (pardon me, I see Romeu going out on loan), I wouldn’t be surprised if we will then now spend the £50m we refused to spend on Falcao on a winger who could score goals while Moses and De Bruyne will fight for a place in the squad as the 5th winger/attacking midfielder during pre-season while an academy player will be promoted as the 6th winger/attacking midfielder.

I am seeing Hazard, Mata, Oscar, a world class winger, Moses or De Bruyne and an academy player as the 6 players fighting for the 3 spots behind the striker leaving either Ba and Lukaku or Ba and a striker that wouldn’t cost more than £25m leading the line next season. Some might argue that two strikers wouldn’t be enough, but I can’t remember Jose having 3 out and out CF rather one of his wingers has always been his 3rd choice CF. I will keep my finger crossed and see if he does something different but first reluctantly I would just say ‘Welcome Jose, I hope your second coming is successful as most of the Chelsea faithful expects’
