Something of a Compromise?

In A period whereby international fixtures have taken away the normality associated with domestic football, I`m quite pleased that the CPO scenario has arisen.

It has given us all something to focus on, something to get our teeth into and something to discuss in great detail.

Nestling in my inbox this afternoon (when I finally took the trouble to open it) was the following from Vital Chelsea member Mr Bear.

This is what he had to say,

“All this debate about the CPO and Chelsea moving away from Stamford Bridge got me thinking.

Surely there can be a solution where both sides can be (relatively) happy.

How about if the new stadium was being built with parts of the old stadium?

Which kind of got me thinking!

When the original Wembley was demolished, there was a hue and cry for the ‘Twin Towers` to be preserved and used in the building of the modern Wembley. Unfortunately, the manner in which they were constructed put paid to that idea.

But, and this is a purely hypothetical suggestion (even more so when I`d hate our fine club to move away from Stamford Bridge) if Chelsea were to move to a new stadium, which bit of the current Stamford Bridge would you most want to see moved lock, stock and barrel to the new arena?
