SOTN 49 – Shame

It does make me angry to be British sometimes. We’ve got some amazing strongpoints and character features as a nation, but some really awful ones too.

I’m talking about loving people failing – the spite of it.

I can understand why the likes of Arsenal, United and Liverpool want to see Torres fail in a Blue Shirt. I get that.

What annoys me is when you have neutrals, and in particular the media, who are absolutely desperate for him not to score for us. Ask any Chelsea fan and they’ll tell you – we arent bothered. He’s looked good, his positioning is class and he is a class act. It will come. We’re winning games and are the form team in the league – it will come.

And yet the rest of the country just wants to bury him. Think about it – how spiteful and unpleasant is that??

The idiots making mocking websites about him, the commentators sat there with s stopwatch just to tell us how many minutes he’s gone, and the ‘body language experts’ telling us how gutted poor Fernando is about it. That’s horrible. The bloke’s going through a tough time and has been really unlucky, but all anyone wants to do is stick the knife in. Vile, it really is. Talk about exposing the ugly side of British culture…

We really are a horrible race of people sometimes, we really are.

COME ON FERNANDO. WE LOVE YOU AND WE BELIEVE IN YOU.
