Paper waffle or your potatoes boiled? Get your teeth into….

Chelsea Football Club apart from being top of the English game are among other things media ‘darlings’, as most newspaper. houses including the red-tops and the foreign un-s rely on anything relating to the Blues for their daily bread; if you don’t have a thing or two to publish about Chelsea and Mourinho and Samuel Eto’o and Courtois and Torres and Abramovich and David Luiz and even the departed Juan Mata…daily or weekly, then you probably either do not pay your tax nor know what you’re doing, and should probably be properly examined and possibly prosecuted!

It is that serious. And today [Thursday] trawling through some news vehicles I found one running with a rather very interesting inference, claiming that Chelsea may be well disposed to using their 20-year-old Belgian Romelu Lakuku in a swap deal for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, 25.

The paper also infers that using young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for any transfer negotiations is not an option – as the SW6 side is understood to see the towering 20 year old as its future – and goes on to quote a “Chelsea source”, perhaps for emphasis, as saying:

“There’s been some talk that, with Costa looking like leaving, Atletico may ask around for Lukaku. I don’t know at the moment if he’s in Mourinho’s plans, so it’s perfectly possible.”

So, as Chelsea fans would you fancy this swap deal if it became something to be taken seriously?

If yes, how much do you think would be a fair sum to add to The Kraken for Costa or you see a player-for-player-and-no-cash deal?

If no, do you somehow see Costa and Lukaku share a dressing room next season?
